About the Author

Ulrich Wiehle is director of cometis AG in Wiesbaden, Germany. In addition to advising publicly traded companies, he in particular provides consultation in the Private Equity / Venture Capital Financing arena for growing companies. His expertise in finance, corporate valuation and marketing benefits companies in financing rounds, putting the firm on equal terms with its potential investors. Additionally, he regularly conducts workshops on ratio analysis and corporate valuation. Before joining cometis, Ulrich Wiehle gained extensive experience in controlling and accounting at a software company in Frankfurt, as well as at the fixed income department of an American investment bank. Through his diverse international stays in the United States, England and Spain, he speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Michael Diegelmann is director and founder of cometis AG. Following his study of economics, Dr. Peter Noel Schömig worked for several years in Indonesia as a product manager for consumer goods. After his return to Germany, he moved into the stock trade, where he worked for two years. Since then, he has worked as a buy side analyst for various asset management firms. In addition to advising the consumer sector, he is responsible in particular for answering accounting and valuation questions. Dr. Schömig is also a certified financial analyst (CFA TM Charterholder). In spring 2004, he was recognized as one of the best buy side analysts in Europe by Institutional Investor Magazine.

Following his education as an industrial sales representative at Braun AG, Michael Rolf studied International Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden and at the Tor Vergata University in Rome. He is currently working in the auditing of industrial and media companies at the accounting firm BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG.

About the Author

C. Ronald Huff is Dean of the School of Social Ecology and Professor of Criminology, Law and Society as well as Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. He is a Fellow and Past-President of the American Society of Criminology and the author of numerous scholarly articles and 12 books, including Convicted but Innocent: Wrongful Conviction and Public Policy.

Martin Killias is Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne, and a part-time Judge in the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland. He received the Sellin-Glueck Award of the American Society of Criminology in 2001. He has been the first President of the European Society of Criminology, co-founder of the International Crime Victim Surveys, and Chair of the European Sourcebook of Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics.

Want an overview of a banks asset-liability management? Add this book to your library!

The book gives a nice overview of funding, liquidity risk and asset- liability management. A must have for people who are interested how a bank's treasury department works. It is easy to read with good examples for practitioners and claims only a moderate mathematical knowledge. I can strongly recommend it!

Excellent Sportster Engine Book

This was one of the first books I bought when I started modifying my 2002 Sportster. Since then, I've gone on to read Buzzelli, Remus, Hamill and even the out of print books by Denish. Whle each of the books has their positive aspects, I consider Mr. Rook's books to one of the best for 99% of the home mechanics out there. His theory is solid, his explanations are understandable, and I frankly consider his writing style to be outstanding. While a chapter of the book covers magnetos, it is less out dated than a method he uses to explain ignition theory. I have read everything I could on Harley engines and I couldn't imagine finding such a wealth of information just surfing the internet. Since buying the book, I've bought 5 more just to give to friends with Harleys, just to show them what can be done with their engines. As Mr. Rook states in his book, achieving engine power is a series of comromises: a drag bike won't work well in the street and a street bike loses drag races. HIs book is similarly a middle ground between a boring manual and a glossy coffee table book, not boring and not superficial. Far from being outdated, the topics described such as fuel/air ratios, carb modification, and compression theory are both current and correct. As a result of reading his book, I have been able to speak to speed shop mechanics on their level and have successfully designed and built my own modified sportster engine. I have nothing but praise for this book and await his next effort.

Excellent book.

I've been riding and wrenching on HDs for over twenty years and I still found this book useful. It confirmed a lot of opinions I had on building a "street" motor and it gave me new information in other areas. I found that the chapters on camshafts, intake, and exhaust were some of the best I've read and expanded my knowledge of these areas.

If you are into HD motors, you should have this on your bookshelf.

Muy pero que muy buena!!!

Iera parte de la trilogia. Excelente,me gusto mucho. Es de las lecturas adictivas que cuando la terminas tienes que correr a buscar la 2da parte, por lo que recomiendo que se tengan las tres a mano.
