Good for MOC, Light for Boards

These cards are of good quality with lots of nice facts written on the back. Unfortunately the spread of cards seems a bit weird. There are multiple examples of intravascular DLBCL, and other entities, instead of maximizing the cards for other lesions. It seems they are all relatively straight forward with only high yield facts on the back. These cards are likely good for the MOC exams, but I find them a bit too light for boards studying. I got through them comfortably in a few hours and don't see myself looking at them again before the test.

Good for beginners, but so-so for board test takers

Nice images. Plenty of space to add your own notes (really the key here). The discussions are so-so (good for learning it the first time, not for board prep really). I hate it that you can't see the higher power images as an inset. Everything is at low power. May be it's good for high power mind, but my low power mind need high power images!
I hope in second edition that they offer an expansion pack on different subspecialties (like cyto, derm, or hemepath, since so many subspecialty specialists are preparing for the popular exams).

Best most up to date AP board review book out- much better image quality than Lefkowitch and more discussion of recent IHC and molecular. Numerous errors, switched figures ect but this is typical of a first edition.
